Hello! I’m so glad that you’re here and want to be involved as a performer at Leeds Poetry Festival 2025. As you may already know as you’ve found your way here, Leeds Poetry Festival 2025 did not secure any funding this year so we will be reliant on ticket sales to cover artist fees, venue hire, and marketing.
Our main priority is always going to be ensuring every poet is paid for their work, so we are guaranteeing fees but it will be at a set rate of £80 per hour for individual events and £40 per artist for events with 3-4 poets performing. For artists coming from outside of West Yorkshire, we are also happy to discuss travel expenses so that no one is limited by their location and wastes their fee on getting to the event.
